16 - 21 March 2016
Location: P3 art and environment / P3 Project Space
The first “TROPE” performance was staged back in 2011. In 2013, it was reorganized in the piece “TROPE – device as a new structure,” and further developed in 2016 after the venue was moved to P3 art and environment.
graf have been proposing ways of independently creating and enjoying aspects of daily life, and realizing that with varied and advanced technical expertise. Their products and projects always contain a carefully planned “margin” for the user to fill and complete the respective item after reception. It is thus not only the impact from the creating side, but also the imagination on the side of the user, that define the appeal of everything that graf offer, and this was reflected also in their contribution to this stage production.
The idea behind this project was to perform repeated “dialogues” between the human body and furniture, on physical sensations created through tools and spaces, and on the application of tools and the perception of spaces as evoked by the body. The result was a tale of bodies and tools, illustrated in an experimental performance that moved back and forth between everyday life environments and theatrical settings.
