Cine Nomad creates films that portray people who lead migratory lives. Three Widows is a homage to an enigmatic US beat poet living like a hermit on the small island of Patmos in Greece.

In the exhibition black and white images were projected on three large connected screens with the tranquil voice of Lax reading his poetry. His life journey and actual travel from one place to another are both treated as travel and were seared onto the images. It circulated endlessly as if it didn't have a beginning or end.

The exhibition space became a serene space filled with the voice of the poet. The audience experienced the poet's mind landscape through the three screens.

In the sub gallery, Lax's poems were displayed in English and Japanese. Cine Nomad's other films, Step Across the Border and Middle of the Moment, were shown at the Goethe Institute Tokyo.
