1992 - 1999

(Exhibitions at Tochoji Auditorium P3)

“New Cosmos of Photography” was launched by Canon Inc. in 1991 as a cultural support project designed to discover, foster and support young photographers that are eager to take new challenges regarding photographic possibilities. Open to the general public regardless of age and nationality, and accepting entries in any size and format, the contest established itself as a gateway to success for young and aspiring creators, and went on to produce countless distinguished, internationally renowned photographers.

Between 1992 and 1999, particularly outstanding works were showcased in exhibitions at Tochoji Auditorium P3. Since 2000, these exhibitions have been traveling around venues in all parts of Japan, including among others the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum.
