2001-2004

“Intercampus” was implemented between 2001 and 2004 as part of a collaborative research project at Keio University, which had been chosen for the “Academic Frontier Project for Private Universities” by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Participating from P3 were Takashi Serizawa and Akiko Matsumaru.

The idea behind “Intercampus” was to facilitate dynamic interaction between education and research at universities, and extracurricular practice and experience, with the ultimate goal to overcome the state of “intellectual seclusion” at Japanese universities. Activities revolved around the conception and development of various programs promoting multiculturalism, for which the website “Yoko-ito” was installed as a platform for connecting projects and people.
