Fifty-three nuclear power plants have been built along the coast of Japan. In this exhibition of photos of these plants, each image was marked with the date the photographs were taken. According to Hirokawa, ‘This exhibition is the first half of a project that will be completed by someone taking photographs of the same locations half a century from now.' This is because those nuclear plants will have to be disassembled about forty years hence.
