Realized three times between 1997 and ’99 in Kaseda (presently Minamisatsuma) in Kagoshima Prefecture, “Cycle Art Gallery Kaseda” was an outdoor art exhibition that visitors viewed while cycling around the exhibits. In addition to “water” themed works by local and specially invited artists, displayed at irrigation canals, riverbeds and samurai residences that still remain in Minamisatsuma, the program also included concerts and a “water landscape photo contest.” P3 was involved in the project’s planning, and coordination with respect to invited artists, and above that, conceived and produced a catalog showcasing the exhibition.
