Cinema Korea is a non-profit organization that has been laying the foundation for a nationwide fad for Korean style by promoting and showing rare Korean films with Japanese subtitles.
'Cine Korea 2003 in Tokyo' was an event that was held at Sogetsu Hall on the 30th and 31st of August 2003 and P3 served as the secretariat. Four Korean films; Our Sunny Days (1998), Wet Dreams (2002), No Comment (2002), Addicted (2002) were shown.
Korean film directors; Jang Jin (No Comment), Pak Kwang-Hyeon (directed My Nike, a sequel to No Comment), and Pak Yong-Hun (Addicted) gave a talk after the showing together with Chikayo Tashiro, a leading authority on Korean entertainment.
Korean magazines and DVDs were sold and about 2500 people visited during the two day event.
