20 April - 1 August 1993

Location: Tochoji Temple Auditorium P3

The system was composed of a mesostic of the Duty of Civil Disobedience by Henry David as its basis, six chairs, 36 speakers, 36 CD players/amplifiers, and 24 computer-controlled lights. John Cage's computer-modified voice filled the exhibition space.
This work was first presented at documenta 8 and restructured to work in P3's gallery space. Directions for the P3 installation were given by Cage himself before he passed away.

Strings, a series of prints that Cage created using the I-Ching, was exhibited in the sub gallery.
A variety of concerts, performances, and lectures were organized during the exhibition.
