Takashi Serizawa: Beppu
Having been involved in countless projects straddling the realms of art and environment, Takashi Serizawa embarked on a contemplative journey to Beppu, one of the most unique hot spring resorts in the world. In this book, originally conceived as a concept book for the Beppu Contemporary Art Festival 2012 “Mixed Bathing World," the author discusses matters of art and environment, art and the city, while throwing in both facts and fictitious elements. It was reissued with a new design as the second title of the “ABI+P3 co-publishing project.”

Yoko Ono: Blue Room Event
The installation piece Sky TV for Hokkaido was entirely exhibited at the former Narikawa residence, an abandoned house in the Tokachi Millennium Forest. This included the “Blue Room Event,” a work consisting of 15 written instructions on the house’s old textured mortar, glass and flooring surfaces. Each of these instructions was made into a card that is included in this postcard book, carrying phrases that stimulate one’s imagination such as “This room slowly evaporates every day,” or “Find other rooms which exist in this space.”
Shigeaki Iwai: Robo no kohan: Ozu Yasujiro no jidai to gendai [Patches of Light on the Roadside: Yasujiro Ozu Then and Now]
This book examines how realistic or how distorted Yasujiro Ozu’s depictions of life and the general mood of the postwar years appear in the present age. Published to commemorate what would have been Ozu’s 110th birthday, it was conceived as a documentary of artist Shigeaki Iwai’s “Robo no kohan (patches of light on the roadside)” project. It is a unique discourse on the filmmaker’s work, written by Iwai based on various testimonies collected through interviews.

Shigeaki Iwai: What's in a name
For three years starting in 1999, artist Shigeaki Iwai interviewed people from more than 300 countries or ethnic groups around the world, to collect episodes related to their respective own names for his art project “self-introduction about names.” Made up of differently colored pages, this book compiles statements on the meanings and origins of personal names, and what people think about their own names, as well as hand-written signatures in the respective native language.
