14 May - 22 June 2019

Location: Guardian Garden

P3 was in charge of curation and production of this exhibition at Guardian Garden, a gallery operated by Recruit Holdings. In addition to two-dimensional works, it also featured installations and multi-channel video displays, showing sceneries of hotel rooms, caves and other landscapes at places the artist had visited and filmed in a fixed-point observation style over a long period of time.

Daisuke Yokota won the 2nd “1_WALL” Photography Competition Grand Prize for his works themed around the relationships between memory and present, image and reality. From there, he went on to broaden the scope of his activity – publishing several photo books, showing his works in two dedicated exhibitions at the Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam, and participating in the Aichi Triennale 2016 among others. This exhibition, along with the photo book Sediment, earned him the 45th Kimura Ihei Award.
